Documents generated by projects in which the Structural Fire Engineering Research Group, and the Academy for Steel Construction, at the University of Sheffield have been involved.
EPSRC project EP/C510984/1: Robustness of joints in fire, 2005 – 2008
The naming of a test is in the format JOINT(#)_temp_angle_date(_info) where
JOINT(#) - Joint type: FP fin plate, WC web cleat, EP flush end plate, FEP flexible end plate. Number is extra test.
temp - steel temperature
angle - angle of the force to the beam axis in degrees
date - test date (dd-mm-yy).
info - any extra information distinguishing a particular test
On the PDF data sheets, the connection moments should be in kNm, but the values clearly need to be divided by 1000.
RFCS Project COMPFIRE: Robustness of joints to composite columns in fire, 2009 –
The naming of a test is in the format COLUMN-JOINT(#)_temp_angle_date(_info) where
COLUMN - Column type: PE partially encased H-section, SCFT square concrete filledtube, CCFT circular concrete filled tube.
JOINT(#) - FP fin plate, EP flush end plate, UKPFCxxx reverse channel from rolled section. RCxxx reverse channel from RHS cutting. Number (#) is extra test.
temp - steel temperature, (20 or 550°C)
angle - angle of the force to the beam axis in degrees (all 55°)
date - test date (dd-mm-yyyy)
info - any extra information distinguishing a particular test
